We are delighted to announce that The Legal Conference (TLC) 2026 is now officially open for registration, with early bird tickets available now.

TLC is the UK's first conference built exclusively for senior leaders and decision-makers at small and mid-sized law firms. Taking place on Thursday 15 October 2026 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, TLC 2026 is a full day of leadership insight, strategic discussion, expert panels and meaningful peer networking, designed with one audience in mind: the leaders of SME law firms.

Why TLC Exists

Small and mid-sized law firms are the backbone of the UK legal sector, yet they are consistently underserved by the major industry events, which tend to focus on the large City and national firms. TLC was created to change that. We bring together senior leaders for honest, practical and community-focused conversation. No big firm posturing, no irrelevant content. Just the insights, connections and ideas that actually matter to your firm. Find out more about why you should attend TLC.

Who Should Attend?

TLC is built for the decision-makers who shape SME firm strategy: Managing Partners, Senior Partners, CEOs, COOs and Practice Directors of firms with between 10 and 200 staff. We're expecting 100-200 delegates from across the UK, representing 50+ firms.

What's on the Agenda?

The day kicks off with a networking breakfast before a full programme of content across leadership, strategy, technology and operational excellence. See the full day agenda. Highlights include:

Panel One: "One Future: How Legal Work Is Evolving Today", a discussion exploring how legal work is changing and what it means for SME firms.

Facilitated round table sessions led by senior partners, diving into the issues that matter most to your firm.

Panel Two: "Beyond the Buzzwords: What AI Can Really Do for SME Practices", cutting through the noise on AI adoption with a focus on what is actually delivering results for firms like yours.

Sponsor-led breakout workshops covering key specialist topics, led by our sponsors and exhibitors.

A keynote address from Harriet Beveridge, award-winning executive coach and co-author of 'Will It Make the Boat Go Faster?', followed by a sit-down networking lunch with structured table discussions and a final networking reception to close the day.
