Full Biography

Harriet Beveridge

Harriet Beveridge began her career as a management consultant at Ernst & Young, where she supported organisations in solving complex strategic and operational challenges. It was here she identified a consistent pattern — performance is rarely limited by capability, but by how people think, communicate, and focus.

In 2001, Harriet met Olympic gold medallist Ben Hunt-Davis while working in performance coaching. Initially sceptical about the relevance of elite sport to business, her perspective shifted when she saw the impact of the "Will It Make the Boat Go Faster?" mindset — a simple but powerful question used to guide every decision within a championship-winning team. Together, Harriet and Ben co-authored the bestselling book Will It Make the Boat Go Faster?, translating elite performance principles into practical, actionable tools for organisations.

For over 20 years, Harriet has worked with senior leaders across industries as an executive coach and facilitator, helping organisations unlock high performance. Her expertise lies in turning complex behavioural science into clear, practical actions that teams can apply immediately. As the architect behind several of our high-performance programmes, she combines her training in psychology and neuroscience with qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mental Health First Aid, alongside an MSc in Neuroscience/Psychology. A TED speaker and BBC Radio 4 contributor, Harriet brings a rare combination of insight and engagement. Her background in stand-up comedy enables her to challenge thinking while keeping audiences fully engaged. The result is clarity, alignment, and practical tools that leaders can apply straight away to drive meaningful and sustained performance.
